Italy's Minister of Finance thanked Iran for attending the Expo exhibition in Milan saying the Expo played a significant role in renewing mutual collaboration ties between Tehran and Rome.
According to IRNA's financial reporter, Maurizio Martina, during the corporate meeting that took place today (Tuesday) between Iran and Italy in Espinas Hotel in Tehran, made reference to the Expo 2015, regarding it as an opportunity to explore technologies and skills in the field of food and agriculture.
'The two countries have made a good rapport during the past week which would provide the basis for expanding relationships and future exchange of information and technology that could make us role models for partnership in creation of employment and expansion of trade in the field of food and agriculture', he affirmed.
Italy's Minister of Agriculture stated that Italy has a series of small agricultural companies which could collaborate with their counterparts in Iran, and this Expo could provide the basis for collaborating agreements between these companies.
َA delegation of 310 Italians representing 197 enterprises arrived in Iran yesterday (Monday), after Italy hosted a delegation of Iranians two weeks ago in their country.
The contracts signed between the two countries during the trip to Milan is estimated to be around $18.4 billion dollars.
It is speculated that amongst negotiated contracts on the table, the most significant will be the ones concerning energy and petroleum.
